Grace Note

 musician & poet @ 58 6th:

live side by side
  in my body

in your house

we have an abundance of notes:

paper pointers

written reminders

‘I ♥ U’ soaped on the mirror

 in my work:

scribbled couplets

performance instructions

please-fetch-the-dry-cleaning reminders

in your work:

penciled fermatas

time & key changes

rehearsals, appointments

we have an abundance of notes
but not much cash
today I found a note
worth more than the nation’s lottery

a black & white love song
in your pianist’s script

a melody impressed
upon my heart:

When they looked @ ur puncture,

they said ur tires r no longer safe.

I took the liberty of buying u

  4 new wheels.
