Two-Week Notice

Ray gave his boss
plenty of notice--
there were too many vampires.
Because of this
he was going to take some time off
to get to the bottom of things.

Two weeks, the last day,
and at 4:30 p.m. his boss held the door
with a gift-wrapped package
in his hand.  "It's for you,
Ray," he said.  It was a stake.
