Leaning On The Shovel
Leaning on the shovel
fogged, iced glasses
squinting beyond the blur
trying for silence
stopping

the moment no longer belongs
communion partaken
the earth's slow rotation
and steaming sigh
where worship is allowed
leaning on the shovel
breath
slows
