Miranda Pope is the name used by the right side of Miranda’s brain. Mira Talbott-Pope is the psychotherapist (the left side)
….also great-grandmother, consultant, homesteader, salsa-dancer; now living in Guatemala – where she finally has time to do more than scribble,
and is working on some writing while she volunteers for a kids-and-family project in the indigenous communities around Antigua.”

Juice

It's like this rich juicy side of me is asleep most of the time
And all it takes is a little music
Some Latin music, a little shaking of the hips
And out she comes; out she comes wanting music
And juicy love, luscious lips, silk skin
And out she comes wanting colors - red, orange, magenta -
And dancing, with the music all around her
And that partner, who moves with her steps
And carries her with him, carries her
Off into that place where it all mingles
And all rings with the guitars, horns, and drums
And the movement, that perfect rhythm
Carries her into that place where she
Is in everything and everything is in her
And it's all one with the music
It's carried on the whirling movement
And the rhythm
And it's carried on that humming
That is always inside, waiting to be wakened.
