Tina Karelson lives in the Minneapolis area, where she writes many things and gets paid for some of them. She often brags about her family,
her M.A. in English from the University of Minnesota and winning on “Jeopardy!”

Love Poem Written After
Reading
, Perhaps,
Too Much Crime Fiction

The parts I remember:
Your flanks,
Your hands.

The joint where your thumb meets your wrist
Breaks my heart,
And I cannot forget your face,
Staring back at me as it does
From the bottom shelf of the freezer.
