Parallel Paths
She likes to dig dirt, plant flowers
He likes to dig holes, pull weeds,
She likes running on beaches, the hard
He likes the abstract placement of shells and
She likes lacing up her Hi-Teks, throwing
He likes spending hours on the trails, switch-
She likes to lie in bed and read a book
He likes to listen to the rain fall on the rooftop,
Even though they walk the same woods
